Not my eyes sweating. Ok let me be for real, I’m full on crying. I’m so proud of you and the ways you love our people through your many hobbies. Thank you for honoring my grandmother’s legacy in such a deep way!
Is someone cutting onions? The sewing machine is SO special; I'm so glad you get to keep that in the family. Also, those neckties are the cutest things I've ever seen in my life!
I didn't know you wore them! Let me get comfy with some fancier fabrics then I got you. Any preferences for color or material (i.e., cotton, silk, etc)?
This is so true! Seeing the imperfections reminds you how special the object is and that it's TRULY handmade with love. Gonna bookmark this wiki link for when I lose sight
I’m late reading … enjoyed the journey of the serger. I have my moms old singer sewing machine . She’s been dead now for 15 years. It’s a honor and privilege to have an Heirloom of a family member and love one. Our generation…. Does not think of these things anymore . I was surprised to see, after visiting, last thanksgiving my aunt Eleanor in Harlem Ga. , she has her moms ( my grandma) sewing machine! Wow
I think when I visit this November…. I’m going to ask if I could look@ it closer. There’s so many raaltuves that are in line.. before me. I’ve been bless with many machines. I just hope , whoever, gets it … Appreciate it! It has too be 100 or more years old.
That’s awesome that you have your mom’s machine! I’m sure the sight of it brings back great memories of your mom and perhaps the sewing you all might’ve shared. Wow, my granny has never mentioned that her mom sewed! I had no idea that Granny Blanche’s sewing machine was still the family. I hope that perhaps you’ll get to inherit it some day
Who knew? I did. Toyota's run forever. Beautiful family heirloom passed down to you. More knobs than I am used to seeing on a sewing machine, but you got this. Love the pot holder colors you chose. You Jammin my sweet child. My condolences to the passing of Gramms (grandmother in love). She was joy to see at the wedding. The many generations there to witness the you and Datrianna was testament to who you ladies are together. The ties are adorable. He will be the proudest kid on picture day and I hope he tells everyone why. TMG exclusive. Keep it coming.
Toyota def makes great cars, so you're right it's no wonder this machine is still going strong! I even found a handful of other folks online who use the same machine. Sergers are wayyy more involved than your average sewing machine, because you have to thread 3-5 spools hence all of the knobs and such.
I'll never tire of the support and love you show! You'll have your own TGM exclusives very soon 💚

The bow ties gave me a bit of grief with sewing on the velcro but I was sooo happy with them. Each tie really had its own flair!
Thank you for reading, Rhodan! 🫶🏽😊

Thanks GTP! I was so proud of how the towels turned out by the end (even the wonky one), I was glad I didn’t give up.
one of my fave concepts - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wabi-sabi - and something I try to keep in mind when creating things!
