Iāve spent the last two weeks resting, enjoying the company of friends and family, and having fun taking a load off. This time has felt nostalgic; akin to coming home during college breaks where all responsibilities were put on hold. I donāt get to do that much in my āadultā life so I was grateful to experience it once again. I hope that this season has brought you a slice of joy, peace, and comfort, in whatever form you needed most.
Piano
We did not manage a recital for Christmas BUT I was able to successfully play āLet It Snowā all the way through š.
Not too shabby, eh?
I think I might be starting to enjoy piano but donāt tell my instructor š¤«š
Knitting
I hadnāt planned any Christmas gift knits but the knitting frenzy won out.
My oldest sister asked if Iād make her a scarf a few months back so I surprised her for Christmas. When I asked for inspiration she said, āthe Lenny Kravitz scarf, but low grade.ā
I settled on the Mistake Rib scarf pattern by Purl Soho, made with yarn that I got in Berlin. I think it foot the bill!

I also made my mom a pair of socks that are super cozy and perfect for lounging around the house. The fuchsia Lettlopi yarn was absolutely beautiful and I look forward to working with it again.
The knitting mojo has been real!!! I have a few other projects on the needles that I hope to share soon š„°; theyāre being worked up with yarn from Berlin and Copenhagen ā the trip that keeps on giving.
Happy 2024 peeps! Iām wishing you all a very happy new year; may it surpass your wildest dreams! āØ
Whatāre you looking forward to this year? Any new hobbies on the horizon? š
Until next time,
TGM
Love mistake rib -- deepest, prettiest texture!
Wishing you another year of Intrepidity, Tashay, with lots of yarn and lots of music. And lots of love. ā¤ļø
Iām looking forward to becoming a crochet girlie and continuing my art journey!
